Windshear is an Insecticon queen, a biological royal destined to lead his people to greatness amidst the discrimination they face across Cybertron. He is to the Insecticons what Grimlock is to the Dinobots, or what Optimus Prime and Megatron are to their own respective factions. How he earns his hive depends on the universe, but he never creates one from his own spark, always adopting others or taking over from someone else. He is primarily Deception-aligned, falling in with them to further his own goals of buggy equality while serving as their Swarm Commander. He suffers from a genetic defect where his body is solar-powered, making him an outcast even among his own kind who burrow underground. Refusing to accept this difference as it is, he chooses to instead soak in delusions of grandeur, believing that it is symbolic of the stars themselves calling out to him. He's charming, romantic, dedicated, manipulative, and viciously, viciously hungry. He has a lot of fun buggy mannerisms, the most noticeable being that he talks using the royal 'we', reserving more personal pronouns for moments of intimacy and vulnerability.
Windshear and Starscream are long-term conjunxes!โฆ well, most of the time. Their love story differs between continuities, but for the most part they are very much married and totally, utterly, obsessed with each other, and have been since long before the war when Starscream was a fan of his turned something more and then something eternal. They're old and jaded and tired and their bond is solidified further over their shared hatred of Megatron. The Seekers and the Insecticons are often a coalition under their shared leadership, and they're a force to be reckoned with when they're together, vowing to rule Cybertron as one some day. While Windshear appears to be the more level-helmed and diplomatic of the pair at first, he's just as bad as his partner and will quickly prove that, and the two are just as capable of bringing out the worst in each other as they are the best. They are incredibly affectionate and the rest of the Decepticons are absolutely disgusted by them.
Dr. Dearing is a reserved but eccentric little scientist specialising in genetics and biomedicine. One of Marvel's genius-types, their claim to fame was engineering controversial cloning methods that allowed them to reshape and create new life, tools that they believed could save Earth's ecosystems from the damage humanity had inflicted upon them. Stopping global warming and climate change was no longer an optionโEarth's inhabitants had to adapt to its new state, and they would be the new god to guide them. In a bid to push back against the naysayers who viewed their methods as unnatural, Jupiter brought into existence their own brand of dinosaurs that were acclimatized to a modern Earth, just because they could. A juvenile Spinosaurus, created from the radioactive DNA of a looted skeleton, however, tarnished their public image when it broke free from containment and massacred their team, but not before biting them and giving them prehistoric shapeshifting powers as a little humbling treat. After a rather brutal period of learning to control their newfound abilities, they're eventually recruited to join the Avengers as Spino-11, vowing to make up for their past hubris by offering their knowledge and skills to protecting the planet rather than controlling it.
Every Spino across the multiverse has a unique relationship with each of their respective Lokis, but the variant they share the strongest bond with is a version of him that was not killed by Thanos after the events of Ragnarok. With Asgard gone, he came to Earth with Thor as just another intergalactic refugee, but his tumultuous past with humanity meant that S.H.I.E.L.D., in agreement with Thor, placed him under magical house arrest as soon as he stepped foot onto the planet. Feeling out of place in New Asgard and even moreso literally anywhere else, Jupiter, already closely aquainted with the Asgardians thanks to their newfound affinity for studying alien life, offered to house him as their new roommate, and he accepted to the shock of everyone, including and especially himself. The two bond over their surprising similarities, and flash forward a few years, they live in loving if a little unconventional domesticity and redeemed former villain bliss. Along the way, Loki becomes Jupiter's first romantic partner, and they're extremely jittery about navigating the whole situation, while Loki, in all his otherworldly experience, is happy to help (and tease) them the whole time.
Bleeding Heart serves as Gothamโs second protective icon, his moniker taking inspiration from the bleeding-heart dove, or "stabbed pigeon". The man behind the mask, internationally famous musician Cameron Swift, found his start as a Batman copycat when a charity concert of his in the city went awry and the dark knight swooped in to save him. After working to uncover his secret identity as Bruce Wayne and holding that fact over the caped crusader's head, Batman had no choice but to mentor him, slowly nurturing Cameron into the hero he would become and taking him on as his original sidekick. His arsenal includes everything Batman's does with a birdy twist, a significantly more alluring voice, and an army of pigeons ready to obey him at will. Cameron himself is optimistic, playful, charitable, chivalric, and enthusiastic... but being a ray of sunshine all of the time is exhausting, especially in the company of the darkness he surrounds himself with.
Cameron and Bruce are best friends - in fact, they're probably each other's only friend, with Cameron spending more of his time at Wayne Manor than his own penthouse. Knowing each other's secret identities both unmasked and not does wonders for being able to confide in each other, and their joint crusade against Gotham's dark underbelly has molded them into a perfect crime-fighting team. As payment for his exclusive superhero training regiment, Cameron, being the popstar sensation he is, also often has the privilege of suffering through being Bruce Wayne's frequent fake sidepiece. Them being together all makes too much juicy sense to the tabloids, and it's the perfect cover story to throw anyone off that suspects the pair are Gotham's protective duo. It doesn't have to be weird, they tell themselves, but all things considered, it is extremely, extremely weird, and it's not long before the ball drops that the whole thing was never an act. They finally get together after an impatient Alfred gives them the push, and from then on their relationship is defined by impromptu rooftop dates in full bat-and-dovesuits, even more arguing over the other being 'too reckless', and Bruce STILL not letting Cameron drive the batmobile.
Carlisle is my custom Commander Shepard, and he follows the same story the protagonist does in the game with very little deviation. As far as his ingame stats go, he's soldier class, Earthborn, Sole Survivor, Ruthless, and primarily Paragon. Despite his position as an N7 marine and eventually a Council Spectre, he's not what one would expect from a typical soldier - he's short, scrawny, and has not a hint of charisma to his name, but that just means he's easily underestimated in both a fight and in the conference room. What he is known for is his reputation as a survivor - the Alliance's very own human cockroach, if you will. He's not particularly determined to stay alive, but whatever gods are out there won't let him die, and to his dismay, he keeps getting promoted because of it. Despite his aloof and reserved nature, he does have a good heart, and doesn't at all mind becoming cannon fodder if it means he can help others in the process. Other than that, though, he's very no-nonsense, socially inept, and, well... kind of boring, but the Normandy crew are just as committed to their quest to pull a personality out of him as they are to defeat the Reapers.
